Should I spend $600 on a set of 4:10's or should I just keep the 3:27's and get a dry shot nitrous kit?

For 600 bucks, I don't think you can get that great of a shift kit. At least none I know of. If you're going to bother with spray, might as well get a full nitrous kit with all the good accessories like a rpm switch, safety switch, bottle heater, purge valve, etc. Probably should also save up and get a tune for the nitrous. Just my opinion.

As for the 4.10's, I feel you should get them one way or another. You'll like the 4.10's with and without spray.

high stalls and nitrious mean you're going to toast your street tires, or not be able to hit nitrious as early. not a good idea.

You dont want to run N2O with 4.10s you'll run out of gear at the track. N2O is going to cost you more than $600. You'll go a lot faster with the N2O so it's all up to you.

With 4.10's and spray, he's gonna cook street tires anyway. Thats why they make slicks .

Without a torque converter, he's not going to see max potential. Just ask Jimfitzgerlad, RacerGT, and Nitro Lew how they like their automatics with spray(I think Lew may have went to a five speed now but I'm not sure.).

If he runs out of gear, he could always move to a taller tire. If you have an automatic and your running 4.10's with spray, I'de recommend a 27in slick for track use.

OMG, get gear....
Gas should be one of the last things to get you over the top, not your primary power maker.
