Do the GT and V6 cars have different suspensions? Brakes?
Are the manual trannies the same? How about the auto trannies? How about the rear end?
Any way to order the sports buckets in the V6 car?

Can't remember where I printed these specs from but here ya go...

Reverse-L independent MacPherson strut
28.6mm tubular, stabilizer bar

V6 Rear:

Panhard rod

GT Front:

34mm tubular, stabilizer bar

GT Rear:
Three-link solid axle with coil springs, Panhard rod,
22mm solid stabilizer bar

BRAKES
V6 Front:
11.5in vented disc

GT Front:
12.4in vented disc

V6 GT Rear:
11.8in vented disc

MANUAL TRANSMISSION
V6:
Tremec T5 (3.31:1)

GT:

As far as I know, Sport Buckets are available in the V6 only in the Red Accent package.

Enfynet covered about 90% of the differences. While the basic design of V6 & V8's are basically the same, there are a number of differences of the parts used. In addition to what he has listed above, the V6 vs V8 springs and the shocks are different due to the different tire & wheel sizes & weights, the different total weight of the cars and the desired more aggressive handling and ride the V8 GT gets. Also the GT uses 8.8" rear end that comes standard with limited slip, while the V6 uses a lighter 7.75" rear end with open gears.

Thanks guys. I was looking at that price sheet and started to get some ideas about a base V6 5 speed car, which could be pretty cool with the sport buckets and a few suspension upgrades. But I'm think I'm still gonna wait and get a used GT.
