Ok man... I know it's getting close to the holidays and all but your posts are starting to kill me. LOL
Get a 302 engine overhaul manual from your favorite parts store. It will tell you what goes where and on which bolts. It will also give you the torque specs for all of those bolts as well as sizes, hardness, blah, blah. You know the drill.
Edit: On a side note though... I usually find myself putting thread sealer on damned near everything with the exception of internal rotation parts.
I dont think I put sealer on any of my TC or WP bolts. Maybe it was anti-sieze. I thought the bolts usually corroded due to water coming from a leaking gasket. Dont forget Loc-tite on the cam bolt...
None of my timing cover bolts went into the water jacket. Make sure you clean those lower head bolts before you put the sealer on them. I ended up using RTV on mine because the sealer did not work and had to use RTV twice because I did not clean them. I have no leaks now but I pulled the engine the first time they were leaking and changed to studs. I pulled them in the car the next time (big pain) cleaned them and reinstalled with RTV and no leaks.
Brian, you haven't used thread sealer (or similar) on lower head bolts for a 302? I know the 351 doesn't have head bolts that pass thru the water jacket but the 302 does. Interesting...
