So I am finally getting the '88 GT on the road this Thursday, with an alignment and new tires, and a windshield, then on Friday the dyno is booked. Guesses on power? Street legal drags are Friday night too, 1/4 mile guesses??

Sorry for the delay. The dyno run was ****. When I got there, I had to wait for 1/2 an hour (after the appointment booking time of 1030) So at 11am, the car was finally on the roller, I took out the laptop and pulled up the tune for the tuner to look at. He didn't look at it. We did a quick run, it was lean. He was not familiar with a tweecer at all, told me he could sell me a SCT chip and tune it no problem, but wasn't really interested in figuring doing it. After a couple half throttle pulls (no boost) he said the MAF signal was to jumpy (and it was) and we should clock the MAF. Then I didn't see him for 20 minutes. Good thing I have a small tool kit in the car (First couple of day on the road, had to be prepaired) So I 180'd the MAF, still a jumpy signal. And that was it. They told me that I couldn't have the airfilter right on the end of the MAF, as the air would be too turbulent and was causing the dirty signal, which would make sense, although I have seen alot of setups like that. Anyways, I stood around for another 15-20 minutes while he was talking to some other people while the car was still hooked up and strapped down. I finally got fed up and interupted him and his buddies and asked if I could get the car unhooked and get out. I was there until 12:30, paid him for an hour dyno time ($120)

The whole time it just seemed like he wasn't interested in doing anything, spending time with other people who came in, texting/talking on the phone, it seemed alot like I was a burden. So that will be the last time I go there. I have heard alot of great things about that shop, but like I said it just seemed like he didn't want to do anything.

Best pull without getting into boost was 276hp/290tq. My ass dyno feels alot higher.

Man, that really sucks. You hear stories like this, and its really discouraging, since dyno tuners aren't exactly on every street corner.

So what is your plan now? Just going to try to tune it yourself?

I'd be fed up too. My tuner always has guys stopping by to shoot the s**t, but he has no problem asking them to beat it if they start getting in the way. Sounds like he was uncomfortable with the Tweecer and didn't feel like "learning" new software, but he should have known what you were bringing and he could have set himself up for success ahead of time.
Good Luck!!
