Dyno graph torque fluke?

This was my first run and I never saw any other torque numbers like this on the other runs. But I had just tightened the belt on the blower and the motor was pretty cool. And this is the only run that the clutch slipped on me.(as you can see right around 3500) Sorta wierd when it did that because you could hear it rev up and then come backdown like a auto. So was it a fluke or error of some sort? Probably.. but I dont like to think that..

i don't really know how a dyno records info but if you revved to a high rpm when ur clutch slipped, wouldn't the graph reflect that and not measure it at the wrong rpm?

normally yes it would.. But the way they configured rpms at this dyno place was by having you go to 3000 rpms and and hold it there. Then they set it on the computer. Then you backed it off to like 2500 rpms and whenever you were ready you hammered it. (there was no actuall lead that went to a spark plug wire, they said they had them but this was fairly accurate and would be close enough) Im looking at going back to AFM sometime this winter and having it retuned

Yeah it was sorta screwy but besides for this first run the results were pretty consistant with my old numbers for the most part.

well whatever happened, 450hp is amazing!

if i give it a little too much now with my 180-200hp i spin, i can't imagine how easy it is for you...

Can be a real pain in the butt in the rain... lol But actually its really streetable. boost doesn't come on till 3+. so unit then its just like driving a slightly torquee street car, which is what it is.

BTW, that was my first run.. After we got the fuel curve raised a point and a half on my last run I saw 510 rwhp and right at 540 rwtq. Never saw the 620+ rwtq again..

And my last dyno session at AFM i was at 495, so the numbers are really close to being dead on I believe.

What kind of dyno do they have? I know they don't have a dynojet or mustang dyno. Did you ask them how the numbers compare?

They have a dyno-mite dyno. I didn't even think to ask how they compare to either a dynojet or mustang dyno. I did fine this on dyno-mites website. http://www.land-and-sea.com/chassis-dyno/chassis-dyno-specifications.htm
I assume they have the 44" roller because the shop is advertised for taking up to 1200 hp...
