I took my car for dyno results after installing my cat backs today. I'm going to do this between each mod, just to know what really produced the increase. Results in sig. I was happy with the RWH improvement. Why didn't RWT increase as dramaticallyt as HP?

Torque didn't increase to the same extent due to the fact that modern engines are designed around a certain amount of exhaust backpressure being present.

Hey no offense but I keep hearing this but have seen no actual proof to back this up. I was nervous about getting a catless midpipe for this reason.

Too bad I'm a cheap bastard and didn't dyno my stuff before and after to have some data

Check out that link. Yes this is on a supercharged motor, but what do you think a N/A motor would be like? An N/A motor should require more backpressure than a supercharged motor, as when you have forced induction you are increasing the total compression of the motor, usually requiring less restriction on the exhaust side.
That is why you see such big gains with a blower car when someone adds long tube headers over a stock header.

Wow that was interesting. Your link didn't work this one should:

corral thread

The dyno shows on his application that with the cat's he had quite a bit more power over the whole RPM range. That's interesting. It seemed to me he only had two cats.

We're talking about modular motors tho here right? Cuz it looks like this guy has a 306 bored 5.0 block.

I have heard ppl say that backpressure (keep cats) isn't needed on our motor unless you've got 3.0 inch exhaust after headers.
