I have searched thru the forum and haven't found exactly what i am looking for. I know that the overall driveability would be improved as well as the total area under the curve but i am looking for some before and after numbers for SC cars that have been dyno tuned. Besides the max power that was gained, can you also post your HP/TQ at 2500rpm as well? Thanks!

Can't help ya there but it's going to depend on the "tune" before and how good the tuner is and if he tunes it on the ragged edge or with a very safe tune in case you're in hot weather in traffic and decide to get on it.....I know you were just looking for some examples but figured I would just throw that out there.

I can't give exact numbers for how it would improve throughout the powerband but I can say a GOOD tune is WELL worth the money. You will gain driveability, most likely fuel mileage, and definitely power across the board. Are you using an FMU right now? What's your setup? My buddy's old setup was a stock short block h/c/i s-trim car and it picked up just shy of 200rwhp from a dyno tune without changing boost. It made 475rwhp on low boost in the 92 degree shop and was still a very safe, conservative tune. But I must say the guy that tuned it is the ****in man so look around for a reputable place haha. He drove an extra hour out of the way and out of state to go to this guy rather than others close by and it was well worth it.

I completely agree with both of you. There are too many variables to be able to accurately give you any numbers. But it is no doubt the dyno tune was the best money I spent on my car. I get better milage and the power I picked up was incredible. I drove over an hour to get to the shop that did mine. But they build alot of really fast Mustangs there and it's the only place that works on my car.

So do you need something kind of comparable to a s/c 93 Cobra? I can't find the dyno sheet from a few years go when the old set-up in the black car in the link in my sig was tuned. It had a 302, Trickflow heads, real GT40 intake, f cam and it made around 330 rwhp on the initial pull with a dinosaur Paxton sn93 @ 9psi. It left with 388 rwhp on a very conservative tune. The black car's new set-up picked up over 150rwhp. The car was built knowing it was getting dyno tuned so everything like the tps, fuel pressure, timing, etc were all set to base settings. There is shot in the vid of the dyno's computer screen on one of the pulls as well as the dyno sheet at the end. If you are running a FMU (its a band-aid), ditch it and get bigger injectors and maf and let the tuner tune for the maf.

Bubba-dough,

Overall i was just curious to know what people's before and after stories were; I really wasn't looking for specific numbers to get excited about or claim that "my car will have this when/if i tune it." I am planning on tuning my car for drivability because there are a few hih-cups that i would like totake care of. I appiciate your feed back, i really didn't get the feedback from members that i was hoping for. Thanks,

Imho, whether you pick up 30 rwhp or 200 rwhp, it is worth every penny for the driveability, hp & tq gains, overall performance, and the peace of mind.
