E-brake cable. How to remove from rear end?

Just wondering how the emergency brake cable is removed from the rear calipers on my 95. I haven't really looked at it but I'll be taking it off later tonight when I remove the rear end and thought I would save some time. Any help would be great..

i believe they unhook from the mechanism built into the caliper.

I think theres a took for it. but you gotta twist the holder thing to release the tension and pop the cable out. Its a major pain in the ass. Whatever you do DO NOT take the bolt out that holds the holder. The holder will pop off and its a bitch to get it back on. And becareful not to pop the big spring off thats a bitch to get back as well

I figured it out.. nothing to it, just grap the end of the cable with a pair of pliers and pull on it, once extended just had to slide out of the holder. Pull the C clip holding the cable to the bracket holder and it's all free. Took 2 minutes for both sides.

lucky mine was a pain in the ass. But thats the way my car treats me
