I dont know what happened. It made a noise when i pulled it like something kinda gave out and then the next time i pulled it i kinda yanked it up as always and it broke... Yay! haha, anyone else had this experience? I think it was the cable, can i fix it myself and if not how much should i expectg to spend? Thanks guys, this is my first time back in a while.

I worked on a guys stang that was all rusted out (Michigan car), and the bold that holes the E-brake assembly into place was ripped out of the body of the car when we were trying to unload the tensioner (happened when we had to pull the handle up to remove the center console actually).

I would check under the car first, there is a junction where main cable attaches to the two rear cables, it's located above the driveshaft tucked up against the body.

Maybe its the handle/spring/adjuster mechanism...

Can you give a better description of the problem besides "broke my e-brake"? ;)
