Alright my uncle gave me his 88 mustang last christmas and I've been working out the bugs in it ever since. It has an edelbrock intake, AFR heads, .30 over, custom cam, the works. He ran 30 lb injectors and the 30 lb maf sensor. It runs super rich and i havent been able to figure out why. It has ther msd 6al box and pro billet distributor so it should burn all the excess fuel anyway right? Also a buddy was telling me the ecm has to be reprogrammed for 30lb injectors but some people have told me it doesnt matter....so does the ecm have to be reprogrammed for 30 lb injectors??? the ecm and the block were out of a stock 90 gt.

The ecu won't have to be reprogrammed if the MAF is 'calibrated' for the injector size AND ecu being used.

What MAF do you have? Part numbers will help.
What ecu do you have? You will find a 3-4 digit catch code on the sticker of the ecu, where the harness plugs in. Examples are: A9L, A9P, X3Z, A3M1, etc.

having a MAF matched to the injectors is a rather barbaric way to trick the computer into running right, I would go get a custom chip burned by a shop with a dyno that can tune it the right way, or go get a tweecer and start learning how the EEC-IV actually gets down and tune that baby yourself
