Hi guys. I have an 89GT and I've heard that the electric fans that came stock on the 94 models will fit right in the fox bodies. Is this true? If it is, will it fit with my 3 core aluminum radiator? Also, how much modification is needed? Thanks for any help.

You'll have to create a mounting system, either with brackets or pull-throughs (I dont recommend using the latter. Ever). It's not tough at all if someone likes to fiddle around and make stuff.

You can get an electic fan on ebay probably cheaper and new under $100, comes with mounting kit and everything you need. There is one that started with a "Z" but can't remember. Bought one a few years back and blows hard and works great.

I've got a Lincoln fan that is like new. I bought it to use on my notch and never installed it before selling the car. It's already trimmed for a fox and I have mounting hardware. All you need is a relay to hook it up.

$50.00 plus shipping...

Derek, where are you located (climate question) and what kind of power do you make? Do you have a blower (space considerations)? This is need to know info for making a decision.

That said, the 94-95 V8 Mustang, 3.8L Taurus and Mark VIII fans generally are more than enough for most folks.

Lincoln Mark VIII fan. Covers the entire radiator, looks like it should have been the stock fan for the car it looks so good, clearance is fine once you trim the shroud and man does it push some serious air. Running it with a derale fan controller and my temp never goes above 200. Make sure you upgrade that alternator to at least a 130A though, as the electric fans draw some serious amperage on startup.
