Every once in awhile after I get in my car for the first time in the morning, when I get to the end of the street the e brake light either comes on or it stayed on and I didnt notice it. Then I just pull the handle up and down and it goes off.

Could it have something to do with parking backwards in the driveway over night and affecting the level of the fluid when I first drive off in the morning? I guess it could be low but I havent got a chance to check it. Any other causes for this?

the switch for the e brake could be bad or making a poor connection, this si somewhat common. if you remove the center console you will see the switch on the e brake assembly. first see if it's making a solid connection and then if it is replace the switch.

BTW the console is not that hard to remove.

1. remove shifter knob

2. remove shifter bezel

3. remove two bolts that hold console to dash

4. remove pad at bottom on console arm rest storage area and remove two bolts

5. remove the bolts at the rear of the console near the back of the front seats.

6. pull it up and toward the rear and disconnect the cig lighter

yep

Mine does the exact same thing, only now the light stays on 90% of the time and goes off if I put any sideways pressure on the ebrake handle.

One of these days I'll pull it apart and take a look...
