What could that mean?

It doesn't stay on all the time, but when I hit the brakes kind of hard or quickly it will light up temporarily and then go off after I stop...

Ideas?

Thanks

This means that your brake fluid is low. Instead of just adding more fluid you should bleed your brakes. Brake fluid is only good for 30k miles tops. Brake issues are a matter of critical safety and importance and must be addressed immediately...

Mine does the same from time to time. There is a small fluid leak coming from the top the left rear caliper where the brake line feeds into it. Very small leak though, havnt added fluid in pobaly 2 weeks or so.

Exactly, also check your pads. One reason your fluid could be low is if your pads need replaced or are close to needing replaced.

Mine does the same thing when the car is cold but after a few miles it stops doing it, kinda weird. I have around 40k miles on mine.

My light started to come on when the pads were getting warn and the fluid was a little low while braking because of this.

Get new pads and bleed the brakes and your problem will be fixed...maybe even just put some more fluid in it.
