I swapped out my vortech pulley for a Richard racing one. This pulley is a 2.7 and the vortech was a 2.87. I was going to also change my belt but the belt I had still fit and worked. After a few days it started to squeak. I then decided to add some belt dressing to remove the squeak. As soon as I put it on I noticed my belt slow down drastically like my car was struggling to run it. Then the squeaking turned into a long squeal and got real loud. So I put more dressing on and it went away. Then a few days later the squeak came back, I did the same thing and the same exact things happened. Then just today I needed some more again and it happened once more.
I know its not a coincidence that my belt drive slows down every time I put on belt dressing, but after a second or two goes back to normal speeds. Could I have a pulley that's starting to seize and just not know it?
Or would this happen if the belt was to short?
