That's pretty steep for what sounds like mostly off the shelf parts.

nope

I wouldn't spend that much money on an engine that wasn't custom built to what I was going to use it for. You could build a 408 for that kind of money. Just my $.02

That motor is waaay overpriced. when you are ready for a motor give Rick a call RNH Performance -Street and Race Engines, Custom Fabrication. there are also a few more good builders around but Rick has built motors for plenty of stangnet members with great results. do alot more research and searching forums for info. also do you plan on going carb and dumping the efi ?

Any setup with a carb for fox is valueless.
Be easier to goto ford racings site and get the long block, then add the proper top end parts.
I also don't see where you say what block is used, most ford racing engines now use the boss block which puts up with nearly unlimited power.

what an absolute joke!! I found out where he was looking at that motor and they use stock cores and cast internals what a rip off for the price they quote. just like you stated he could get a 450fwhp 347 FRPP boss motor with forged internals for a freaken grand less. also IMHO to the op stay EFI.
