My best friend has an 02gt with mild bolt ons (trottle body, cai, intake plenum ect.) About 70k miles. It has been well maitianed but recently started knocking around 3-3500 rpms. At first we thought it was from hitting his h pipe on speed bumps. But this weekend we had 2 mechanics tell him it was either a rod or wrist pin. What should he do now? He had the car up for sale before he found this out, now he either wants to patch it or quiten it down enough to dump on a dealer. Any suggestions would be appriciated. thanks!

Hmmm, so he wants to quiten the rod enough to dump it on someone else? Well I would suggest, he drop the k-member, then drop the oil pan. Pull the rod that is knocking, then take that rod and cram it up is ass for wanting to push his problem onto someone else....

Screw you Ass hole!!! I've bought cars from dealers that are s4!T and would not feel bad at all about sending one to a dealer with problems, would I sell it to an individual,NO! But wouldn't feel bad for a dealer who screws people everyday. And don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, I've been a car salesman for the last 11 years...AND I STILL FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT DEALERS.

Oh, "I'm" the *******? :rlaugh: Maybe the s4!T cars you bought were traded in by some ******* who wanted to cover up a knocking rod.
