Well i think i might need to replace or rebuild my 96,it is cheaper for me to buy a whole motor out of an truck or grand marques than to rebuild the one i have, i was wondering what long blocks i could use ,what is the compatability for the 4.6,what other model 4.6 donor cars can i use and what years can i use?:( :( :(

Do you just want to do an el-cheapo basic rebuild (rings, bearings) or do you want to build this thing to take a little bit of power (IE: Rods, Pistons, Crank, etc)?

If basic is what you're after, you're pretty much a tie between what it's going to cost you to rip this thing apart, buy/borrow the tools necessary and spring for the new parts or get yourself a used donor engine. I'd look around for a '99-up PI engine for your car to make a little power in the process if the engine swap route is what you're going for.

Need information

I'm looking for a long block does anyone have any idea's were i can get one ,i know i could comb the local junk yards but i'm looking for a company or a person who has nice low mileage motors ,the only thing wrong with the present motor i have is that cylinder 4 and 7 have oil ring issues and its burning a little oil ,all the accy's are still in like new condition, what 4.6 can i use some f150 had 4.6 and other models also what other car models can i use for my stang?:SNSign: :SNSign:

Well if your just looking for a stock replacement dont overlook ebay. I have had alot of friends buy 6.0L chevy engines from dealers on ebay and they have all been pleased with the product recieved. I dont know how I mean it is a chevy but hey to each his own LOL :rlaugh:
