which is better... speed density or mass air?

EDIT: what yrs had which?

Mass air is going to accept more mods to the motor without needing to be custom tuned. I have heard it is not much of an issue until doing an h/c/i swap though. Can someone else confirm this?

It would not hurt to just use whatever is on the car that you get. Both should do you well.
