I wanted to know if it`s normal for my temperature to rise to the L of normal when I drive in the city. On the highway, the temp is at R on the gauge. Also my fan does not start until it reaches L. Just wanted to know if that was too hot.

Thanks to anyone who replies.

I second this question.. Although mine runs just the opposite in town.

During highway travel, the gauge reads just above the "C". I know there's obviously more airflow, but right above the "C" seems awfully cool to me. I just changed my stock thermostat to 180 degrees. Any ideas?

First Off...WELCOME HERE!

L is too hot...like in the 230's. I dont know about your mods, but EVERY MAY/June around here we get a bunch of cooling questions. If your car is fairly stock, you probably need a good flushing. When Joe and I put in the Fluidyne, my stocker was all thicked/sludge up.

Put in 50/50 mix, one bottle of Watter Wetter and a 180 'stat.

Let us know what happens.
