I have a real odd problem, my motor is using anti-freeze, Radiator is not leaking, none of the hoses are leaking, And did a compression test to check for a blown head gasket even thow the oil is not like a milkshake I know it's possible blow a head gasket between a water passage and the cylinder but i'm within 2% on all cylinders and within spec according to the manual. i figure if the heater core was leaking my passenger side carpet would be wet but it's not and the motor is running at a constant 180 degree's i don't have clue wierd i tell ya

Have you looked under your car for coolant that has leaked onto the ground? You might have a leak around one of your freeze plugs

Can you smell it in the exhaust stream? Uh, don't sniff too long. If it's not leaking, but it's leaving the system, somehow it's getting into the cylinder. I once had a car with similar symptoms - and similar diagnosis in terms of cylinder pressure. Turned out it had a hairline crack in the cylinder head that wouldn't leak until the car was hot and the cooling system was under full pressure (about 15psi on this car). All the diagnosis we did turned up nothing out of the ordinary. I'd try pressurizing the cooling system (they make pumps that attach to the radiator cap location), pulling the plugs, and see if you over time can force coolant into one or more of the cylinders. If so, it's either a gasket or a crack. One other thing to look for - if your egr spacer still has the coolant lines hooked up, I've heard of a few cases where the coolant from the spacer was leaking into the intake manifold slowly - not enough to affect drivability, but enough to gradually consume coolant.

thanks for the reply's, I'm going to try and find one those pumps that attaches to the radiator and pressurize the system, and I looked to see if i have seepage around the freeze plugs and there is none.

my car was doing the exact same thing. it would only run hot if i got low on antifreeze. my heater core was leaking but i had no antifreeze on my passenger side floor board and there was no fog on the windshield. try bypassing the heater core and see if that solves the problem.
