Either way it will get air from in front of the TB and feed the inlet just before the blower. This will make the valve slow to respond but i can work around that.

which brings me to ask about my junk.
I don't think that file valve is a big enough hole to let enough air pass to significantly allow for a fast idle cold start .
can an iac valve work as an on/off thing?

Sorta, you would need to wire it to the fidle output and set it up as a PWM 2wire device, just like a boost solenoid. then you would have full idle control...

Or simply wire in a second one of those valves you are using, and add another line to it. the output can handle it no problem.

EDIT: the PWM output is the same output as the boost control solenoid. you could wire the iac to the wires you had the boost control solenoid wired to and just port it in.
OR just leave the boost control solenoid and we can try and use it as a idle valve

That's another tiny little hole in that solenoid as well. I think I'll just add another fidle valve, and pair them together.

Small progress today but progress non-the-less...

its not complete but you get the idea, I still have to figure out a support from the other side... i may weld a small bracket on the inlet to catch that side. Looks as if there will be room for the idle valve somewhere below the coils but we shall see. I can always tuck the idle valve off in some remote corner.

It's one word.........And it's missing a letter. I'll let you figure out which hyphenated word is actually one word though.
I like the cp placement though,...but I thought you were using a COPCNP strategy instead of a coil pack.

You are going to brace the passenger side of that coil setup, the vibration may be too much and it will look even too.
i like it so far but I'm thinking you need to just call it Franky, he is not so much of a science project now, that crap looks like it belongs there!

you mean nonetheless i know how its supposed to be spelled but for some reason my phone does not.... whomever created the auto correct function needs to be kicked in the balls, why to is 'corrected' too [yo] is beyond my comprehension of the English language...

the aluminum bracket is actually going to get a rubber bumper placed under the bracket so it will not rub on the fuel rail. The passenger side will get a support welded to the inlet, I want to leave the driver side open for harness placement for now.

Here's how it works ya donut (my spelling corrector knows that I like the word "donut"):

Your phone has a limited vocabulary to start with. It refers to a list that's a couple thousand words long. At some point, an operator of your device *cough* types the word "yo" into your phone and made a suggestion to change the word to "to". The operator then for whatever reason (perhaps haste) declined that correction and chose to go with the word "yo". Now the phone was designed to recognize this preference and the next time it saw the word "to" it tried to satisfy the operator and offer that operator the word "yo" because that's what the operator said that they preferred.

The Fix:
Go into the spell correct library on your device through settings and delete the word "yo".

Wait for the phone to figure out that "yo" is not a suitable substitute for "to". By the time that happens though, Touchwiz will be severely bloated and slowing your phone down (because of all the stupid the operator told it and it's trying to remember). In that case, many folks reset their phone and start over. You also have to then re-teach all of those word preferences.

It's the perfect system for the 30 second attention span.

I did a thing.

they are mounted now, still have to dress some welds and paint... figure out the idle valve and throttle cable bracket.
It has been hard to get anything done with so much going on, have a few side jobs right now and they take up a bit of time with question answering and troubleshooting.

Oh come on now Mike you dont have to give me a hard time about it.....

besides thats what they called it when i took my welding class, In my local we have to learn to weld to top out as a JW. The JATC brings in a certified welder from the Ironworkers local, they call it dressing a weld... those guys weld for a living so i call it what they call it.... he was originally from up north so maybe its a regional thing.
