Build Thread Enola- Finishing touches

I am sitting here about 2 beers in wondering where all my damn daylight went.... I was making good progress untill the wife decided I need to run into town for something she needed then one town over then...... you get the picture. 5 hours later "my day" is over.... :crap:

I managed to sandblast both TB and paint them black, set the engine to TDC and weld the tab on the intake for the throttle cable.
Not much left to do really, if I can get the vr sensor mounted In the am I may be able to use the edelbrock elbow to fire this thing for a few seconds.:cool:

building myself a vr sensor bracket that will 1- work 2-nice and rigid 3-be out of the way of the belt.

i managed to get quite a bit done today, the manifold Is iinstalled (obviously) my elcheapo eBay powder coat kit has paid for itself many times over....
The wife suggested the mad max sticker I like it alot.
I then installed the meth nozzle and coil packs.

This doesn't seem like much but it took me all day to get this much done.
 
Before setting out for work today I decided to try and get the throttle bodies installed. In proper fashion I also had to fabricate some kind of thingy to make both those dealieo's work in tandem.... linkage kits can run anywhere from 20-100$ depending on how fancy you want..... :nono: ahhh no.

Enter the hero of this story a piece of aluminum bar 3/16 thick and 1/2 wide.

problem this is my test belt 100" long... notice the tensioner, I don't think it's going to do a damn thing in that location....
I'm looking for opinions on the tensioner situation possible fixes any input will help heck maybe you see a belt route I dont.:shrug:

I don't think you have enough wrap around the crank pulley, especially considering the huffer.
 
This may sound obvious, but why not a shorter belt. Doesn't your tensioner pivot further to the right like the stock one does? This should also give more wrap on the supercharger pulley too, since the tensioner will be pushing at a higher angle.

:D lol test belt...

I tried a 96" belt yesterday would not fit at all. I have a 98" belt on the passenger seat of my truck, just have to wait till ii get home to try it out. My thought is the tensioner my spring back too far and lock in the position in the picture.. of course I have the option of redrilling and clocking the idler arm but I cannot spring it out very far it will hit the SC pulley... I may have a need to engineer some kind of manual tensioner for the static pulley I added.
 
I say to mount the tensioner below the alternator. Put an idler up top to keep wrap on the alternator and the blower and raise the belt up a little bit.

I'm no belt guru...but I can offer an opinion.

I will look into this option seriously when I get back to the house, i still have that 04 cobra tensioner and some 3/8 steel plate... maybe leave the stock tensioner in place and add the second one.
