ok, changing up my combo a little bit, here's the new mod list:

331 stroker engine, 10 to 1 compression
gt40x aluminum heads
x303 cam
ported explorer upper and lower
24 lb injectors
aeromotive adj fuel pressure reg
195 walbro fuel pump
bbk longtube headers
x pipe with flowmasters, dumped
elec fan upgrade
75mm pro-m mass air
cold air intake
70mm t/body
stock t5 (yikes)
3.73 gears
skinnies up front and slicks in rear

what kind of rwhp can i expect, also what kind of times/mph do you guys think i'll run? local track doesnt open until may for open t&t but i cant wait

do i need a better intake that bad? or will it keep up?
thanks

I think you will be at or above 300rwhp is my guess. The old setup on my 347was 10:1 compression, e-cam, tfs tw 170cc heads, non ported cobra intake, 19lb injectors , 155 fuel pump, 1 5/8 LT headers, off road x, super 40 flowmasters and got 325rwhp 376rwtq on a regular dynojet.

I think you need a better intake and bigger injectors, then I would say 325 rwhp.

i will definately get a better instake when the right deal comes along. i'm not convinced of the bigger injectors tho, i will be getting it dyno tuned later this spring and i guess i'll know then. anyone have any experience with the x cam? its been in my 67 since i built it-has only 1200 miles or so and i bought it for the idle sound, but i'm hoping it has what it takes for my stroker.

i see you have a similar setup, what are you putting down? also did you previously have 24 lbers, or go straight for the 30 lbers?

Hi, haven't had this dyno'ed yet or tuned, just got it together in Nov. I am thinking 330- 350 rwhp. I was running Performer heads, Corbra intake and an F-cam before that and 24# injectors weren't quite getting it enough fuel over 4k rpm, so I upped to 30# and that did the trick. Now I am thinking of 36# or 42# with this new set-up to be safe. My engine calculator says 24# is good to 300hp(flywheel) and 30# to about 400hp, FWIW.

Thanks, hopefully I will have it dyno'd and tuned this spring. Winter in Michigan lasts foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr By the way, I run a stock t-5 also, I have managed to keep it alive so far!

Xcam should run good with that setup, I guess @320 rwhp, then upgrade the heads/intake/cam later and that # will be much higher. afrs/holley/custom cam would be the balls

It could be, that's why I added the FWIW. I played around with it some and got anywhere from 24# to 30# depending on exactly what I put in. Could be I had some other issue with the 24's? All I know is the 30's work and would allow for some more upgrades.
