Ever heard of this brake problem?

When I apply pressure to the brake pedal softly and slowly the brakes slow the car down perfectly. If I hit the brakes hard for an emergency stop the brakes can barley stop the car. The brake pedal feels very hard and doesn’t go all the way down to the floor.

I'm so confused!

I ordered the following parts to see if it helps my problem. 2 front rotors, PF Z rated Pads, 2 Rear Drums, Drum Shoes, and 2 new Wheel Cylinders. I'm also going to bleed the hell out of the lines.

Sounds to me like the car is not pulling enough vac. for the brake booster or you might have a bad MC

Sounds like the M/C is going to die soon.

Try replacing the check valve on the booster first... they're only 2 bucks and probably needs to replaced anyway

Mine did that and after a while I started having a hiss along with it. Then it was like I almost had manual brakes. It was my good ole brake booster. And wow, what a pain in my ass to replace. Not thats it an in depth replacement, the bolts are in the worst place possible.
