Ever miss your old ride????

Every now and then someone will tell me. Hey man I saw your old Stang on the road today. :(
Glad to hear it's still kicking, but sad in the same breath. I really wish I had not of gotten rid of it.
Was a 86GT, T-Tops, auto, stock engine wise with only mods being turbo II mufflers and panel K&N air filter. Oh and silencer removed. Had a friend of mine paint it, and in this pic the paint was about 4-5 yrs old. He did a great job on it. Added the stock 16" Pony's and ya can't see but it had a GT spoiler. The paint was Ford red and Black Cherry. In the sun light the Black red turn a light shade of red.
I replace the entire A/C system and radiator @ the beginning of the summer that I sold it. The compressor and other items were the O.E. stuff. Oh we replaced the heater core then because the Evaporator was replaced also.
When I sold the car it has 230,000ish miles on it. Still with the O.E. engine, tranny, and rear end. Also had new chrome 16" Cobra's. Sold for $3000.00 4-5yrs ago. Needed money for new house that was built and I had a 90SC T-bird @ the same time.
Sorry for long post but damn I miss that thing, can any of ya relate?
Here it is. Later

I miss my 86 GT Vert :(

I don't really miss either of my fox bodies that much, i'd rather have something with more modern comforts and that is more reliable so i can drive it everyday. What i do miss, however, is the low-end that the pushrod motor had. You really have to spin these 4.6's to get them going. A nice 5.0 with gears doesn't take as much effort.

wish i had pics of my old 85 gt. loved that car. glad i dont have to see anyone driving it around. the kid i sold it to changed the pills, sprayed 150 and blew the motor. i hear its still sitting behind his house. :(

I miss my 85 LTD. I know it's not a Stang, but it had a tuned up carbed 302 in it. Bought from an old dude for 500 bucks. Best deal I ever made. Damn motor was so strong, it would idle roll to 15 mph on it's own. :nice:

It had an 85 speedo, but it pulled 120 easy. People thought I was crazy for driving a 2 ton land yacht that fast. Damn, Might have to get another one. :flag:

i miss my 67 fastback.. first mustang i ever bought.. this is the car i got rid of to go to a 86 gt andthen to the 92

(i had 10th anniversary cobras on it at one point :D) i love those rims..

I had a 93 4 cyl lx, that I traded off for a 02 f-150. I dont know what the hell I was thinking. It was probably the cleanest 4 banger on the net. It was CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. It was in perfect condition, absolutly zero flaws. I think about that car almost every day. :bang:

You know I also had a 84 4cyl that was converted into a V8. Brand new paint w/ground effects kit, wheels, and engine (to that car anyway).
The shop that installed the engine screwed it up and from what I heard left a fuel line loose and it came off going over the Cooper River bridge (big bridge here in Charleston) I downshifted to 4th and then silence:notnice: next thing,,,FLAMES coming from between the cracks in the hood where it meets the fenders:eek:  . Stopped the car jumped out, flames were coming out from under the car, ran back to my mom's car behind me and watched it burn:bang:  . It took 30 minutes for fire dept. to respond. Too late, car was a loss. Firefighter told me I could go look @ it after it was out and the dash was melted onto the floor board:doh: :damnit:
HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE.
