Well I'm now a victim, Came out of work tonight and as I went to go unlock the car I see my ignition tumbler and steering column shroud laying on the ground, back'd away from the car and looked through the windshield and see that the column is just hacked up all to bits. Cops came did a report and dusted for prints but found nothing "thanks anyway mesa pd" I have no idea what they were trying to do because they didnt get the car and nor did they steal anything in the car but they killed the column I have some pics, Never fails you just cant have anything nice anymore. I know this isnt a tech post "so dont bust my balls ok" but if you love your stang like i do put a kill switch in or a quality alarm or something. I seriously felt like throwing up for about an hour while I waited for the tow truck. Some pics of the damage and my New Alarm S&W .357 Mag!!!

I know how you feel.A couple of weeks ago I went out to my garage to find the door knob half twisted off.Luckily the dead bolt stopped whoever was trying to get in but in the few minutes it took to straighten out the knob and open the door I had visions of a missing car and tools. At first I felt violated but then I realized it could have been much worse and I finally got off my butt to do some improvments in lighting and other overdue security features.

I have T tops so they pulled back on the drivers window and pulled the lock up to unlock the door. Clean break in but its gonna be a pain to fix. Thank god I had a kill switch. So guys put something on your beloved auto!

Yeah, a single shot 38 that comes right out of the steering wheel hub and activates if the car is opened and started in any way other than the use of the key. I could make millions developing and marketing this thing. Could even have a bullet trap built right into the headrest. Just open the door, pull the dead body out of your driver seat and let it slump to the pavement (it's just a piece of zh!t anyway). Start your vehicle and go on about your business.

You seen the alarm systems that have flame throwers and electric shock in overseas countries daggar? Was on real TV one time and it was I think a BMW with a flame thrower built into the side of the car and it roasted this dummy standing next to it. Too bad its banned in the USA. But yeah i'm liking the .38 in the wheel hub idea lol.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.
I would buy a pager alarm for your car and don't hook up the siren. That way the theif doesn't know you have been paged and are on your way.
He's just sittning in there thinking there is no alarm going about his business and then he feels a tap on his shoulder from the tip of your 357..... :owned:

man what kinda lousy criminal can't steal a mustang.... he needs a role model. :rlaugh:
Thats good news for you though. I had some bonehead guy try to steal my radio in my old car. It was an auto so he couldn't get the deck past the shifter :rlaugh: .....but he did steal the remote....why the hell couldnt he give me back the remote if he couldn't get the deck :bang:

I know how you feel, coupla years ago I got in my stang in the morning to go to work and wondered why the key kept spinning round and round. Looked down and whatta you know, column was all busted up. Only thing I can think that save me was the aod since the shifter won't release unless the key is in the ignition and the brake pedal depressed.

Wow that sucks ass . Ive never had my stang broken into but both of my camaros were the same way they got into your car. nothing was stolen both times except sockets and the ashtray with my toll money in it. I have an 86 steering colum cover you can have if yours doesent get fixed you can have it and ill ship it for free. Good luck.

Sorry to see that they hacked it up like that. Makes me happy, that I have an appointment Friday to get an alarm installed, even if it only scares people away.

what alarm are you getting and who is installing it?? I was a head installer at Circuit city for 3 years and have 10 years experience in alarms and car audio. One thing i know from being in the business is that most chains and such like Best buy, circuit city and hhgregg are more worried about hurring up and getting it done then making it " invisible " to a would be theif. We used to estimate about 45 minutes for an alarm but tell the customer an 1 1/2 or 2. I did my alarm and 7-8 friends stangs and can gurantee unless it is towed a theif isn't stealing any of them! So if you trust the person you have an appointment with ok, but i would make sure they do it right and hide everything in factory loom, tape every wire up so you can't see the colors and route all wiring deep in the dash so it is a hard for anyone to find..

where is the best place 2 add a kill swick..and whats the best way 2 install 1??
there are a few ways to do it. You can add a kill to the fuel pump, or the actuall starter. you would need a relay and a switch. For fuel pump its under the seat just find the wiring that Runs the pump and interupt it.. same as starter find starter wire at column and do the same

Well.....I really only want it for the keyless entry. I am getting it installed at a best buy, where I know the guy (he said 4 hours). I used to work there too, and I know what you mean when you say they are in a hurry lol. Im sure it wont be an amazing job when its done, but that is the only place/people i know to do it, who i 'might' be able to trust. BTW its just a Viper HV350 i think. I trust it because I have had much experience with Directed Electronics Inc. and they have all been good experiences. :nice:

I could loom most of it if I find any colors floatin around.

man that blows, Id like to see the look on the dudes face that had a .357 pointed at their head :rlaugh: I heard of one guy on here relaying their fuel pump to their cigarrete lighter, so that if the cigarette lighter was unplugged you couldnt start the car, but if it was plugged in you could start it. So every time he left his car hed just put that cigarrete lighter under his seat until he got back. Its foolproof! Infact i think im gonna try it on my car...
