I finally completed my exhaust system. For a couple months, I have been running my stock catbacks with Hooker LT headers and o/r x-pipe. The headers and x-pipe slightly increased the sound. Today, I installed Magnaflow catbacks and my car is increadibly loud. I know that I will get grief for this question, but how can I quiet it down?
Also, if you are looking for a great product review of three catback exhausts, see: http://www.mach1review.com/CATBackExhaustSystemsReview.html. They looked at SLP Loud Mouths, Magnaflows, and Bassani. The results include loudness (decibels), power gain (horsepower and torque) and changes in a/f ratio. Although the tests were done on a stock Mach I, they should have implications for the GT. It is interesting that even though the Magnaflows were the quietest and least expensive, they offered the most horsepower gains.
