Hello,

I was thinking of replacing just the mufflers on my 2000GT stang.

I wasn't looking for anything you can hear 20 blocks away or anything, but just enough to make it should like a stock Roush mustang or a little louder.

I'm not looking for the glass pack effect, but just enough to say it has some balls.

I hear a 2003 mustang GT the other day go buy when I was outside, and I loved the sound of that (he modded it of course) and I was going to pull him over and ask, but seen which way he turned :(

Thanks for the help.

oh

I love how mine sounds.. almost stock till you get on it.. but still its not that loud.. no cats either.. my car is a sleeper cause you cant hear the blower either at idle..

I've had two exhausts on my '03. I had Spintech Sportsmans and they sounded great. They are not obnoxious at all and have that classic chambered sound but they don't sound exactly like Flowmaster, either. Now I have a Magnaflow catback. I have run it with both the stock midpipe and now with an offroad X-pipe. With the stock H-pipe it isn't much louder than stock while cruising, but shove the pedal to the floor and you'll turn some heads. You can't beat Magnaflows quality for the price either.

BTW, I didn't get rid of the Spintechs because of quality issues or sound. The shop that put them in botched the job and it was going to require cutting/welding/dimpling to fix some pipe clearance issues over the rear axle after I lowered my car. Otherwise, I'd still have them. In fact, I've thought about going back to Spintechs after I get my cams in. Nothing sounds sicker than a cammed car through chambered mufflers

I have the Ford Racing catback kit for my 98 GT and I love it. It has a deeper sound than stock but is mellow while cruising, when you get on the throttle though it comes alive and sounds really good. It idles a little bit lounder than stock too. I'm really happy with it. It is all stainless steel and has 3inch tips at the back.

I have the Sportsmans on mine and they're awesome ... my car never sounded this good before! These are the deepest sounding mufflers I've ever had and I have tried the Delta 40s, Super 40s and Magnapacks before. Spin Tech now has another loyal customer here. :nice:
