Expanding Wheels

Is it possible to have wheels widened to accomadate a wider tire? If you can, about how much does it cost per wheel? Thanks

I actually looked into this a month back. It was around $250 to widen an aluminum wheel about 1 1/2 inches. Just a tad bit pricey. I can find better things to spend $500 on.

Thats more than I though it would be. Might as well just buy new wheels.

that was my point.. I was quoted $275 per wheel.. My wheels only cost me $125 each.. Plus, it weakens the wheel when they extend it..
