Fox exploere upper intake

I'll have to look back in my thread to see if I recall. But I drilled and tapped all the ports on mine, but did break one tap because I got greedy.

Use lube, go slow. And periodically clean and test fit.

I used 1/8 and 1/4 npt for the various barb fittings I installed. The vac tree MIGHT be 3/8 npt. Same as intake sensor but need to confirm

curious why you tapped and put a barb fitting in that front one next to the pvc valve connection, since that would be the same one as the one that sticks out further on the Exploiter intake that was said could be capped. But looking at my photo of my stock intake there is not a cap on mine and appears it had a hose on it, so now I'm confused on what went there...

Front one (right side) is for he charcoal canister.

Rear one (left side) was for my MAP sensor (speed density).

Egr, fpr and vacuum source are done by the metal tree

I plugged the front port on the plenum itself (lower right corner)

I wanted a clean, stock like install

I thought the charcoal canister went to that lower right port? so then what goes/went on that port? (that's what's messing me up)

Aahhhh ok, I thought mine had one...(but I'm sure I'm probably wrong) looks like that part was cut off on my pic I took of it the other day, have to wait till I get home and check..

thanks... btw it looks like that explorer intake was hooked up wrong... look like the PVC was hooked to that coolant line... and looks like the center pvc port (where it was suppose to go) is capped...

ok Mustan5L5, I'm finally getting around to this, and decided to go ahead and remove all the vac ports from the explorer intake, and drill/tap it to make it clean.

I removed the vac tree from my old intake and cleaned it up... it's in great shape. so I need to drill/tap (3) 3/8 NPT holes... one for the tree, and the other for the pvc on the front thats next to the purge port and one to put the a plug in for the extra elbow port I removed that the exploere intake had, but the stock Mustang one has a plug in that one.

I'm then going to drill/tap (2) 1/8 NPT holes, in in front to hook the purge line to, have a brass 1/8NPT with 1/4" barb I will use there, and on the back next to where the tree will go there was a small line...(3rd pic) on my stock one there was a large port but had a cap on it.. guess for MAP but I'm 90 so MAF... so I don't need this port... so I'm going to drill/tap with the 1/8NPT and put a 1/8NPT brass plug in it. I'm a little concerned about that one though... as you can see from the last pic (I'm holding the 1/8npt x 1/4barbed fitting over it to get an idea of the size for when I put the 1/8NPT plug in there... not much room/wall... hope I don't screw it up.
