Breaking in the new parts with a nice solid tune and just plain enjoying the car.

I have 320 miles on the new engine and supercharger now. A new clutch/flywheel is on the way to be hopefully installed ASAP next week so I can break it in with the rest of the drivetrain.

New set of Nitto 555s came in and installed today, but my rear 315s are back ordered another month where I have brand new 10.5" rims eagerly waiting those tires.

After a nice detail, it'll be a new car!

Here is my winter project...

http://forums.stangnet.com/759311-new-combo.html

The motor should be back from the machine shop by early next week, then I have to fab the turbokit, then cut out the roll bar, gut some extra wires , re-wire most of the car, install the cage, build the trans, etc....

Install my cut and ported intake, start cracking away at the suspension (i.e. lowering, geometry and so-on), start accumulating parts for an all engine high hp build.

Foxbody throttle body conversion is about it. If this stupid strike ever gets over and I get back to work I hope to get the car tuned and see what she is making power wise. hopefully by spring get some new wheels on it because one is badly curbed. My imediate plan is to get it through smog.

I should have my '78 King Cobra running within the next 2 weeks after a complete and thorough rebuild of everything. If all goes well, I'll spend a few weeks driving it to shake out all of the bugs, and then it will be delivered to my exhaust guy for a complete custom fabbed set of headers and side exit exhaust. After that, I will begin stripping the car for paint prep, including a soda blast of the whole car.

During the times the '78 is out of the garage, I've got a pile of parts to install on the Shelby: Kooks long tube headers and catted X-pipe, new upper control arms and adjustable panhard bar, Shelby short throw shifter, KKM pistol grip shifter, Granatelli line-lock, hood struts, and a handful of trim items (shiny stuff).

Throw in a heater core and blower motor change on the Bronco, and I should be booked until spring!
By the time spring arrives, I'm going to have a grin on my face each time I have to decide what I want to drive.

I might take the Cobra out of the garage and drive it. If I'm feeling real peppy I might wash and put that new "Ice" stuff on it. A true project would be to break out the orbital polisher and clean up the paint and touch up some areas that need it. Its just a "daily" correction "weekend" driver... Come to think of it, its more of a spare car nowadays and probably got driven more by my buddy when I was in Afghanistan...

This is the Cobra. Basically just replaced everything as it was shot. The rotors on the first Whipple touched and just left a hail storm of metal debri. Just one thing after another it's all in the past now with fresh parts top to bottom.

The 93's getting a full UPR front/rear setup, 305/315 rear tires mounted on 10" widened 93 Cobra wheels, HIDs, 04 Cobra maf, and rear seat delete.
The 04's getting a new 4.0L Whipple w/ Crusher inlet system, twin disk clutch, PSR k-member, MM front coil-overs, fuel system upgrades, CF driveshaft, Pfab coolant tank and tons of tlc. I'll be pretty busy!

broke harbor freight?

All I plan on doing is meeting emissions, getting a cage, and maybe drawing up plans for a few diffusers, bodywork. If I come into some money, I'll have brad's do me up a torque arm and maybe the K-member.

A 6pt cage, DSS Level 5 half shafts and possibly a Spec twin disk if the 3+ doesn't hold. Hoping to have this thing deep into the 10s next season.

I'm just a couple weeks from finishing mine up. I need a tune get all the 5 lug on and all 31 spline stuff I have for the rear put in. Only thing I short is 5 lug wheels. Those will either be a set of 03-04 cobras or a set of FR500s. I just want to drive and enjoy the 15 to 20 I've put in the car in a year.

RRIIIIGGGHHHHHTTTTTTTT.
(Sad thing is, he's telling the truth)

This Winter I have quite a few "bling mods" (Chrome VC's, polished intercooler/radiator tank, etc). Big ones already in the garage are the full MM suspension, Level 5 half shafts and other "undisclosed " power mods.

Only think left to buy before the winter thrash is my big brake kit..... still narrowing it down.
