I know most classic guys use a simple prop rod with their fiberglass hoods. Does anyone here use those hydraulic rams that modern cars use on tilting backglass (Explorer/Tahoe) or hatchback rear windows? This picture got me to thinking...
my god! what a monster.
Thats a serious set up there, is that your car? or just a photo example.
I've allways used the lighest springs that would hold it up. Some people use no springs and a prop rod.
Im not sure about the hyd. rams, if they'd put too much stress on the fiberglass while closing the hood?
