Everyone know's LS1's run low-12's right off the showroom floor and 10's when you breathe on them. No way one ran-13's!

Ha! If I had a nickel for every time I saw a bolt on LS1 NOT make 400 to the tire like the internet will have you believe...

I dont think he was insulting just saying cars are getting faster. Used to be guys were excited about running 14s and now they are shooting for 12s. Always feels good to get a new best slip. Just wait till you get a 10 something slip! Keep it up man.

aint that the truth! we were happy as hell when we cracked into the 4 sec range! then when i saw 7.73 after coasting i was thinking he shouldnt have lifted!

Ultimately my goal for this car would be to drive it to work Wednesday morning in the middle of July, A/C blasting, then after work drive it to the track, about an hour away, click off a few 10 second passes at the test-and-tune, then drive it back home, maybe pick up a gallon of milk at the grocery store on the way. Daily driver reliability and comfort while putting down enough power to run tens… I’d be pretty satisfied with that.

If i could just figure out whats up with the cooling in mine i could do that. But it gets hot while on the freeway with the fan on forget traffic and a/c is long gone.

Little update- after taking it to the track, the transmission developed a slight gear whine, so I drained the fluid over the weekend... And I had glitter.

So I think I'm just going to street drive the car for the rest of the season, then when winter comes and it goes into hibernation, I'll yank the trans and diagnose it. Don't think I want to risk another trip to the track, unless I have a tow truck lined up.

Mines had hear whine since I owned it. You can hear it in 3rd and 4th. Pulled it down a few weekends ago and changed all the bearings and added new fluid. The end result....sounds as bad as it ever did. I think the gears just set into a pattern over time that you really can't do anything about. The only thing that's going to clear up the whine for me at this point is a whole new gearset/cluster. No thanks...I'll buy a new trans before that.
