Way back I had eibach pros. The stance they gave looked great. Ride was a little bumpy but I still had the factory struts/shocks.
BTW, I think Maximun’s spring line is H&R.
Well, Eibach and MM/H&R seem to be the consensus here. Thanks guys. With the isolators removed, Im guessing maybe a difference of a 1/2?
Some people say without them you'll get noises but I've done on a few cars and never had an issue. My coupe dosn't have any in the rear and my daily driver 88 hatch doesn't have any at all and never has. I've known people to also wrap the end coils with electrical tape to prevent noise from occurring.. not sure how well that holds up though.I didn't think about that. That wouldn't give me any issues? I drove my car to work this morning and got a nasty chip in my front cover, and a little one in the new windshield. I work 26 miles away from home and really have to take the interstate or local city highways to get to work. There was a truck that was dropping rocks and I heard them hit the car And windshield but that’s the only one I found that damaged the paint. Well, I managed to go a year without any. Ive been driving it quite bit lately so I guess it’s no surprise. It’s a big one though. I think I have some left over touchup paint at home. Taking city streets home.
I cut my factory coil springs (probably not helpful.)
Agreed lol. For the record,I’m not spouting off saying it’s the correct way to go about lowering etc. There are far better ways. But for me,I trim a quarter at a time until I get the height I’m looking for while retaining the isolators and have had zero issuesStill probably better than spring CLAMPS, which is another thing people are doing. That one's even worse because it's not free.
Yeah @CarMichael Angelo I see your point. The thing that worries me is its chipped on that aftermarket front cover. I'm hoping it doesn't get worse. I don't know if you remember but that bumper cover was peeling all over the place when I bought the car. I'm hoping it not the coating underneath all the materials that's peeling. I'm going to pull out the brand new isolators here pretty quick and see what that looks like. I've cut springs in cars before, but that's when I was younger. The Monster has all kinds of chips on him ( mostly because I’m a clod). I just dont see a way to keep it from happening if the car is driven.
