Oh and i might as well add this....
The day we went racing, earlier that day, i went to a mustang shop like 50 miles away to get a battery tray, my car didnt have one.....
They had a battery sitting on a board. Well i got the tray in, now the battery was too tall, NOW I HAD TO BUY A NEW BATTERY....

So i take the tray out and try to start the car, it will turn on but when i try and start it, boom all power is lost.

So what happens later is the start solenoid starts ticking but wont engage the starter.

So i buy a new solenoid, didnt get a new battery yet, trying to isolate this problem....

the solenoid fixes it, i pull the car back in the driveway. Put a new battery that fits in. Well later i start it, the car starts but the starter wont disengage, so we had to HURRY and get those battery cables off that we tightened really good. The starter motor was sitting there turning the motor for what seemed like 2 mins...

So we put the OLD solenoid back since the new one was FRIED in and now it works....

WTF??
i am selling this POS.

Now it seems like my car is making that noise all the time, not as loud but i can hear it.... Maybe its my head playing with me, since i know how much of a POS i bought...

You mite try askin the guy for your money back.Or you can take him to small claims court under the "Lemon Law"...Your in a tuff spot,I dont know what to tell ya..You would probably win in small claims court, then you can try again.(But bring the next one too a mechanic before you buy it )

Since it sounds like its all jimmy rigged maybe you should think about going carbed? Who the hell knows what the previous owner messed up if the injectors need a fusebox?? You could get the bottom end gone through, change to carb, and put in some nice Autometer gauges that you can wire yourself. Oh yes, goto a T-5 too. I think you did get a bum deal on your fox but if you want to keep it I'd say this is what I would do to bypass all the junk the previous owner did. My 2 cents.

At this point you'd be better off keeping it and fixing it, because you aint gonna be able to sell it, you might be able to give it away though. I say go **** the guys **** up that sold you this car he deserves it. dont get mad, get even!

Why wouldnt i be able to sell it??
The car runs perfectly except that it will knock under HEAVY ABUSE, not like you romp on it once and it does it. Took the car continous running at the track twice, without cooling down..... before it did it....

Er, odds are the next owner will notice it, too. You can't own a 5.0 and not abuse it / floor it at all. It's unheard of! You'll be buried with this one, amigo.

Find yourself a Crown Victoria with the 351 windsor and slap it in there. Go carburator and you would atleast get 14 MPG. You dont need a oil pan conversion kit because the oil pan fits in the fox body.

if you have a rod knock it will keep making more noise and the oil press will act funny, my wife has an 89 AOD mustang when it was bone stock it hardly went into the high 15,s we added 410 gears, under drive pullies, 2400 lockup converter ,dragradials ,off road h pipe and flowmasters and went back to the dragstrip--14.10, then added edle heads, cobra intake, shortie headers, [still stock cam ]larger mass air and throttle body then it went 13.30
