Yesterday we spent the day looking for a used Uplander for the wife. After 12 hrs of searching we signed the papers on a 2006 Uplander. Now I will get the 08 Grand Prix to drive daily. Still keeping license and insurance on the stang, but will finally be able to make it a fair weather car and keep it out of the bad weather of winter.

Also glad to hear it Anthony! I dont know how you kept a DD so clean man. :nice:

Having nicer and fresher wheels for running around has gotta be nice.

One drawback, I had to clean off the snow off wife's Uplander this morning, not enough garage for 3 cars  Yea it picked this weekend to snow about an inch. Oh well, at least I have fwd and abs to tame the snow.

My friend has an 96 Uplander with the DVD. His kids love that thing. And so does he because it keeps them busy!!! lol

04-08 Grand Prixs are nice rides. I fixed an 07 for a guy at work. It was a GT, but it had a supercharger, which I thought was only on the GTP's. It was a 7,500 mile car with every option a GT has. Love it. I have an 02 Grand Prix that the woman drives, but I take it once in a while too.

Yea, the GP is no 5.0, but it is no slouch either. Passing is a breeze and braking is good too. MPG is 18/28, so not much different than the 2.3, it was getting between 18-20 in town. All stop and go driving in my little town. It is a joy to drive, but still can't boot the old stang when she has been so reliable and lasted so long. I still have to put on the new IAC, but it will have to wait till Thursday when it warms up some.

Windshield washer on GP isn't shooting anything out, so taking it to dealer on Wednesday. Could be just froze up with the low temps, but its under "Warranty" still. Been a long time since I have had one that was. I've already found a GP forum, but I will still be here, not leaving.

Yeah, those GM's all freeze in the lines. I have a line of GM trucks at work and they all freeze up. My Ford F150, the routing is under the hood just like the Mustangs and that truck never freezes. Hopefully that is all it is.

SVT your right on the $$$$$. When I got home from dropping kids off at school, i put a trouble light and a halogen floodlight near the reservoir. Just went outside and checked, the passenger side is flowing, but its closest to the reservoir. So now I have the light on top of the engine aimed at the hard plastic lines. I think she is going to be fine :)

Part of the problem was we bought it in July and it probably had summer solution, not winter solution. I put in winter solution Sunday, but the lines were probably already froze from the old stuff.

Nothing like some good stang buds helping each other

No problem!!! It happens with us all the time on these trucks and even on my girls Grand Prix. The other day I was driving the 05 GMC pickup and nothing was coming outta the drivers side. It made me sooo mad because it was a wet day so all the salt was just sticking like no other. I got out and started pinchg the little line running to the arm. I could here the ice cracking in there, then it started working again. lol.

I never tried the winter washer fluid. I prolly should. I just buy the $1.99 stuff, or take it from the cars we save it out of at work for free. I have a hard time paying the $3.99 and $4.99 for the good stuff...haha. With my personall F150, I never have to refill it, so it's worth it, but my girlfriend goes through it like it grows on trees!
