Its mostly done, i need to do a little rewiring and re-runing of the gas lines.
and i need to get some shorter crank bolts. my biggest problem is the accessorie belt tensioner. I had to cut the bracket to make way for the blower shaft. So i have to come up with some way to mount it elsewhere.
if i can get that done tomorrow ill have it fired up.

EDIT: the bracket where the tensioner used to be

how about you set up some sort of turn buckle the attaches to a water pump bolt and to the upper Alt bolt. Similar to the March kit, that way you can amnually adjust the tension.

Looks good!!

I agree with the adjustable turn buckle idea...get a couple of sphericle rod ends, jam nuts and all thread and you should be set...attach one end to the alt, the other to the bracket and tension as needed.

I was thinking, would an alternator bracket from an old 60s mustang work if i spaced it properly. that way i could just get rid of tensioner completly. something like this.

I would think that it would. That bracket kit actually lowers the alternator from the stock position, so it should clear the blower snout.

So did you decide to cut the hood, or does the air cleaner still clear? Gotta admitt I was lookign forward to seeing the black beast with a bird catcher looming above the hood. Looks great though.
