Hey wuts up to all, wondering how can u guys help. Here's the deal i have a 99 v6 mustang auto and i wanted to know where it would be good to start off.I want power but nothing too wild.Im only 17 and on a low budget So what should i look into, and what will it do to my car.
Only engine work ive done is put an intake.

you could get some 4.10s to spice up the drivetrain, get pullies to free up some power, phenolic spacer... all of that stuff is pretty cheap. Custom chip and a high stall converter will work good on the auto.

4.10 gears wont cost a lot, but the installation will cost a ****load

Yeap if you want to get a mod that you will really feel the difference get the 3.73's
If you go with the 4.10's you will feel a little bit of difference not much but also you will notice your gas millage go down to 15-16 mpg.

Um I have a 99 auto and 4.10's and love them. And yes I felt a very big difference. Really I have no clue why these guys are saying these things about 4.10's but whatever Oh and I still top out at 115, thanks to t he chip, but then again why would I even want to go that fast on the roads?

Because you cant at the track? Hahaha, just f-in with ya. Mainly because gas mileage will suck and you'll end up paying more at the pump than you will for gears and install.

Sad thing is that it's true I can't go 115 at the end of the quarter thanks for reminding me, hold on a sec... ...Anyways Yea my mpg took a bit of a hit but since I'm not a lead foot all t he time and because I cruise in a higher gear I actually gained about .5 mpg in the city. Witch isn't bad considering it's strictly a performance mod.

You wont notice as big a difference as you would with 4.10's, 3.73's will just be a happy medium between stock and 4.10's.
