Well my wife made her first pass down the track last night. I didn't drive the car, just not enough time for test and tune in between bracket...besides there wasn't much point.

When she started the car in the staging lanes it would fire right up and die when shifted into drive. The short (street tire) burnout went fine. I told her to stall to @ 1500 RPM and hammer it on the launch. She did and the car fell flat on its face...

1000' 14.251

A friend of mine did get a chance to make a pass in it. He ran 16.87 @ 85.9 so its not driver error, I know he can drive.

The car has BBK shorties, Hedman offroad H-pipe, 2 chamber flows w/ turndowns. Deleted EGR. New plugs. AODE w/ 2.73's and the converter may be on its way out. The fuel filter may be the stock one...It is not throwing any codes.

I am going to change the fuel filter, clean the MAF and spout connector. Any other ideas?

I'm just speculating with the fog of an early morning hangover wrapping itself around my ears here, but with a bad converter and 2.73's I think you could consistently hit mid 16's with those mods. I'm guessing normally you'd be in the 15.x - 14.8x? range? Hopefully someone with more experience will come in and help you out...
