Does anyone have any experience with the new throttle body injection systems? Specifically fitech because they seem to be the cheapest and I like the setup.

My car has been sitting for about 8 years so it needs a ton of work, but I figured getting it running is probably the best place to start.

I have the MSD Atomic EFI setup.

I honestly wouldn't recommend it for several reasons.

1. Rubber fuel hose. That's what you have to run the whole length of the car.

2. ty IAC from the factory. (Luckily it's just an early 90s GM 3.8L IAC).

3. You have to adjust idle speed periodically just like with a carburetor. (I paid $2200 to still have to adjust idle?)

4. Really crappy support (virtually non-existant) since Holley bought MSD and has three EFI systems of their own.

I would avoid Fitech. Have heard nothing but trouble.

The Holley system is nice in terms of software and function. They've even released a few TBs modeled to look like carbs

Edit: I'll add that the best solution is port EFI if performance, drivability and tunability outweigh looking kinda,sorta like a carb

Yeah port fuel injection is definitely the way to go and it looks like that's where I'm headed. I just thought I could save some money and time and not have to buy everything involved.
