What about a magnaflow, How do they sound?

I don't like magnaflow's sound much. they have packs and regular mufflers. I have tried to like them because they are a good deal but they just don't do it for me. sound is all taste. mustang exhaust has tons of clips.

borla and bassani are where it is at if you want good sound and less drone IMO. unfortunatly the price on both of them suck. I get nothing but compliments on my exhaust but I paid $500 for the catback and it has gone up since then I do belive. the bassani was even more at that time.

your right. cheap GM Y pipe setup:notnice:

it is a crossflow muffler as well I assume. that tames the sound. I have had magnaflow, borla, flowmaster, spintech on my iroc over the years. borla was the best overall. magnaflow was the worst. spintech the most wicked but it drones to. Flowmaster is just so widely used anymore I don't like or disslike it it just sounds normal to me. Like oh nother car with flows that neat.

I like the drone from the Flowmaster catback also! I just wish it was louder
to be honest.I think the regular Magnaflow catback is too quiet. On the other
hand the Magnaflow Magnapack sounds excellent with a o/r or catted X pipe.
Yellowbeast go with the Magnapacks if you get Magnaflow. Also go to
www.mustangexhaust.com and hear some sound clips!

I used to have Flowmasters with a catted x-pipe, and still couldn't hear myself think, or listen to music....on the highway. Just installed a Magnaflow cat-back sys and what a difference. Doesn't sound as good as the Flowmasters, but does sound good at WOT. Idle and normal driving is fairly quiet now.
