I went to remove my fog lights today since they didnt work anyways. Well I remove both fog lights and their brackets, when A huge metal peice that runs the lenght of the front bumper decides to fall off the car. It didnt seem to attach to anything but the fog lights. Is this part of the fog light brackets or is this a safety reinforcement for the front bumper?

The metal peice is actually a zinc palte that run from fog light bracket to fog light bracket. This keeps them in place along with the bumper cover. The bottom of your GT cover bolts to that metal bar and that is how it keeps its form.

I figured that the bumper cover was suppose to be attached with plastic clips but since it wasnt I just removed it, well it fell off. Any harm in doing this in the long run?

nope no harm removing that plate you would just need to pu it back on if you decide to put the fog lights back on
