No bigcat, I did it the "hard" way, disengaging the arrow tabs. Bet your a$$ next time I'll remove those two bolts. I'll also read my manual cover to cover.

too funny. when i was taking the grilee out, i looked at those bolts and the bumper itself. i thought that it was kinda flimsy, that must be why!!! sometimes we all make the job harder than it really needs to be.

remove those stupid black things while you have the grill apart. its easy, just use a needle nose pliers. makes the fogs light up the road much better too!! i went thru 3 sets of these things, where the black parts fell off. the way to get them out easily is to do it before they fall out, its much easier to get at them while they are still in the socket.

Driving Lights

:SNSign:

Well after a long discussion on the installation problems and how we all missed the instructions in the book. I haven't seen any comments on the lights. I liked the Silverstar 9145ST driving light upgrade.

It really lights up the road. The light out put is great with a nice color. I think they were well worth the money. Also Sylvania has rebate coupons on the Silverstars @ $5.00 per set and $3.00 rebate on the Xtravision's headlight bulbs.

I was very satisfied with the upgrades.......

Fogs

I really like the 9145ST's in my fogs, just wish I could find an upgrade bulb with a similar color for the headlights. Sylvania isn't planning on an H13 Silverstar anytime soon. I hesitate to go the Xtravision route, I realize there would be more light but I am looking for bulbs that will be similar in color to the Silverstar fogs.

For those looking for Silverstar H13 bulbs

I found some bulbs made by Diesel that appear very close to Silverstars, they are 4000*K color temp (Same as Silverstars). I got them from www.importstuning.com. They were about $48 a pair plus shipping. I put in Silverstars in my fogs and now the headlights look yellow. New bulbs should be here in 3-4 days. I'm sorry that Sylvania has chosen not to market an H13 Silverstar.

Driving Lights

Do you have a part number for the H13 replacement, I noticed the same thing, much better light, but headlights with the H13 Xtravision did look yellowish with both on looking at them at night............
