I imagine I can figure this one out, but I figured I'd ask anyway. I'm going to install a Typhoon intake I picked up cheap enough on my wife's GT and I was told by the seller that the stock bolts were too short but he didn't have the bolts I'd need. Anyone know what length I need then? Stock is 2"....

my stock intake bolts where fine but if you arent sure , just stack one or 2 washers under the intake bolts themselves , my T stat bolts did need washers , the stock bolts were bottoming out before they pulled the Tstat housing up tight , but other than that , mine bolted up fine with stock intake bolts

when i put my (free) phenolic spacer on, the guy who gave it to me didnt have the longer bolts. a trip to home depot took care of that. we procured the long threaded tines and found some bolts to fit it. cut to the size we need, and it works perfect.

I haven't tried it yet, and I'm just going by what the seller had told me regarding the lower intake bolts needing to be longer. I guess I'll just find out. I appreciate the input guys. I'd rather not do the stacked washer thing though just because it looks like a hill billy did it....

I'd go to napa, figure out what thread you need and buy a couple bolts of different lengths and see what works. If some guys can use the stock bolts, but yours don't work, its going to be hard to get a answer over the forums since it sounds like its not a uniform thing.

Sorry 2002BLGT, didn't mean to strike a nerve on the hill billy comment I actually talked to one of the "techs" and Professional Products, and he told me that I need to get bolts that 3/8 longer than stock.
So, we'll go with that answer....
