i've been posting over on a couple turbo websites, and i'm thinking of doing a junkyard turbo setup.. but none of these guys have 4.6 cars, they are all a bunch of TT 5.0 guys... so anyways...

we were wondering... what are the components that need to be disabled or changed on the intake side under boost?

Reason I am asking is I notice a lot of hoses connected to the intake. Does anyone know if the EGR opens under boost? That would let air go from the intake to the exhaust. Will a PCV valve from a supercharged T-bird work on a 4.6?

the only other thing i was thinking is, is there enough room to flip the headers from left to right, so they point foreward and down instead of back and down?? it looks tight but they might go?

for 6 grand no thanks... mfp would be the first place i called for a tune, but there is no way in hell i'm spending that much on a turbo kit...

i can get both turbos (2.3 takeoffs, rebuilt) for like 300 bucks..(or a big single for like 250, i havnt decided if i want to have the hot or cold side be complicated lol)

injectors 400
maf/fuel pump 400
misc metals for piping 300
intercoolers (same 2.3 takeoff stuff) 100 bucks
oil feed/return lines and fittings 75 bucks
pair of bov's 35 each (from a guy on that site)

i dont care if it has fancy shiny piping or not, the hood stays closed lol.. and i really dont need a tubular k member or coilovers either... oneday maybe, but unless you want to bring me a money tree its not happening anytime soon

edit: i guess i should point out, i'm not looking for the absolute best i can get right now, i can add things later on, but right now this is the best i can afford, and hell its going to be alot better than the 230 or so hp this pos has now ... if i need anymore later on, then i'll start changing stuff.
