my buddy has a 07 gt with the ford racing 550 whipple super charger kit, and cams. He got it tuned and now around 3 - 4,000 rpms it cuts out really bad but after it passes that point it runs strong. The biggest problem is its blowing oil everywhere from the driver side valve cover... anyone have any idea whats causing this and how to fix it? thanks in advance.

My Whipple kit has a metered air supply line from the intake tube to the passenger side valve cover and a air discharge line from the driver's side cover into the intake plenum behind the throttle body. In the install instructions they say to take the hard tube out of the stock discharge line and insert it into the supplied discharge line (to keep it from collapsing under vacuum I believe). Is your buddy's system installed that way? Inserting the hard line was a major PITA and some people have skipped that step apparently not understanidng why its necessary (or so it was explained to me). Do you have any pics of the oil discharge? One failure I saw blew the oil two stories high - that was a blown piston allowing boost pressure to build up in the crankcase thus discharging the oil - not pretty.
