FOTM Changes

Alright this needs to run a bit more smoothly so we don't have to wait for some random joe to post it. Here is the idea's I've come up with.

The FOTM will be posted by me EVERY month on the 1st of every month. People may nominate until the 15th of that month in question. After the 15th of that month, a poll will be created and close on the last day of the month in question.

A 5.0 Talk Mod or Admin will come in and mark the FOTM a sticky, so multiple FOTM threads will not appear.

This stupid rule of:

After voting, the winner must submit a brief bio and history of the vehicle along with what mods have been done. If this is not submitted 3 days after the winner is selected, the they will be disqualified and the runner up will become the winner, subjecting them to the same rules as above.

This rule should be completely thrown out, as it is completely unfair.

Also, no it does not have to be a 5.0 but must be a fox. So it you know someone who has a 302-406, viper engine, jet plane engine, or whatever that's ok. It just must be in a FOX. Period.

All those who object, please state your case in a civil mannor.

I'm thinking the voting period is too long. People usually get the voting done in 2 or 3 days before it really slows down. And what if there's a tie? Should we have another poll or have an admin break the tie?

How about it starts on the 1st. Voting begins on the 10th. On the 20th voting ends. If we run into a tie again we have from the 20th on to vote for a winner.

First off I vote No, but just for a few reasons. The voting period is way too long. Needs to be 1st, 5th, and winner no later than the 15th, or something close to that. It also needs to be run the same time every month. Which means there is ONE Administrator and someone to back him up, incase they are on vacation, sick, busy, etc.

Second I thought that foxmustangman was running this voting thread? I don't care who it is, but there needs to be a single voice. Weather that be one or two people.

Third if you are going to be an administrator of this please keep personal feelings out of the threads.

Part of running things is being unbiased when stating things, just by stating that above you have swerved the poll.

As for quoted rule I don't mind it mostly, but I don't think the Bio should be mandatory, I would like to see one though. I personally would like to know more about the cars that have won, power plant, suspension, and other personal touches they would like to add. It not only draws more attention to the win and car, but is informative as well.

Finally, there does need to be 3 picts of the cars to vote on, an interior should be included along with an outside and engine shot.

This thing should be fun, and for the people who are active members of the boards. Because it is the people that are here posting and chatting that continue to make these board informative and fun :SNSign:

All I'm trying to do is present this a lot more collective. We can change the dates, everyone just needs to come to an agreement about dates. I among other member's of the community would like to see it start on the 1st of each month, be made a sticky, have a nomination period, voting period, and winner. I've came in two months in a row with people asking where FOTM is, who's running it, why isn't it a stick etc.

sounds very fair! How about we do them in ONE WEEK intervals! its a happy medium

starts on 1st....noms for ONE WEEK

then voting for ONE WEEK

if a tiebreaker is needed then we'll add ANOTHER ONE WEEK!
