how much should i pay and what parts do i need off the cobra to convert my 93 5.0 to the upgraded brakes...since it is a 96 i realize i will need 94-95 spindles and hubs but i should be able to use almost everything else from the 96 right....if someone could please list what parts i should inquire about it would help me out alot. thanks again and hope you all had a great holiday

Calipers, rotors, brake lines, dust shields, spindles.

If you get it with the spindles, i'd go for $200-250 for everything.

Without the spindles....$200 or so.

If you can get it cheap with the spindles, do it. You can sell them for maybe $100 after. People still want them even if the 94-95 are slightly more desirable. Some people want the extra width and superior geometry

okay what about the rear end... he says it has brand new cross drilled and slotted ebc rotors and new pads...and the whole axle all one assembly...rear brakes have about 400 miles on them b4 the car got wrecked...he said it got wrecked in the front end. he took the motor out of his wrecked one and just put it in another one so these are all the parts that are left.

plus the front lines, calipers, rotors (which may have a slight warp), pads are still decent, spindles, master cylinder ....all for $900....pretty sure i can get him down to $800-$850.

That might be decent, but the Master cylinder and booster are useless to you. It's hydroboost.

You will need to add a 1993 Cobra booster and 94-95 Cobra master cylinder to your list of parts...as well as the required 3-2 conversion and 94-95 Cobra MC adapter kit from MM right there.

ok...i was going to get the kit from northracecars...but if i can get the whole cobra assembly why not right? do these axles change the track width or is it the same as the foxbody? i want to be able to still clear 18x9.5 in the rear. just want to make sure i get the right thing before i buy it. no rust on anything he says so thats good. if the axles wont work ill just get the the whole rear end except the axles and just buy some moser axles or something right? thanks again

oh yeah and can i use the 96 spindles or shouldn't I?

$550 for everything except rear axles and MC/booster. pretty sure ill get it for $500 im pretty happy with that....i guess im going to get the rear brackets and axles from northracecars.com.

then i just need:
93 cobra booster
94/95 cobra MC
94/95 spindles and dust shields
a few misc adapters and fittings

I believe that those axles are going to be longer than the stock width. The only axles you can use are from rangers and Aerostars.

I paid $500 for my brakes, wheels and tires from a 2003 Cobra. I bought the spindles from a 95 and the booster from a 96 V6. I believe that the booster that is on the Cobra is a hydroboost and wont work. I also used the M/C from a 95 GT.

you don't need a 93 cobra brake booster. A 94-95 brake booster from a V6 will work perfect. This link will help you out a lot.

It's the same booster, but the 93 cobra booster has the correct fox bolt pattern. With the SN95 booster you'll need to slot the lower bolt hold slightly.

Yeah you gotta buy it new vs a used $40 V6 booster...but at least you know it will work. I know because i have a leaking V6 booster and now gotta do the job twice to swap in a new cobra booster. :(

Where is your booster leaking from? If it is leaking chances are it was damaged during the removal or installation. It is rare from the booster to leak. I did have to elongate the holes in my firewall to get the booster to slip in. Keep in mind that this brake job is a LOT of work, don't expect to get it done in half a day and expect a couple of runs to the hardware/auto parts store. You will love the difference though!!!!!!!!!!:flag:
