Four Eye "GT" Side Molding's?

The side molding on the 87+ GT's is actually part of the ground effects. Only the peice that runs across the door is a separate peice of molding.

The 85-86 GT's are more like LX's that have balt molding all the way around except for the front and rear bumpers

What exactly has to be done to the ground effects to make them fit? Is is a hard job for an auot body shop to do?

You'll have to take the GFX off, cut off the molding part and then figure out a way to reattach the GFX and the new molding while making it look factory.

Then you'll need to deal with the rest of the molding of the car not matching since it will all have the tape stripe slot in it except for the 85-86GT peice.

easier to say that it cant be done. the only piece of the molding on an 87-93 GT that is seperate is the door piece, the front piece is molded as one piece with the fender extention, the pieces in front of and behind the door are molded into the side skirts and the part behind the rear tire is molded in with the rear fender extention. nothing about the 85-86 piece matches the 87-93 piece, even if you did cut it all apart and try to attach the "GT" piece. the shapes and contours are totally different.
