Well I got a few more things from Fun Ford Weekend this past weekend. I bought a Fidanza aluminum flywheel that was still wrapped in plastic for 200$, and a distributor. When I take the 302 out, it's going into another car, so I didn't want to re-use the timing cover and bellhousing from it, so I picked those things up this weekend as well. With the bellhousing, I also got a fork, and a new adjustable cable. The only thing I'm re-using from the 302 are the valve covers, so I found some finned "powered by ford" covers for the 302.
I didn't take pics of the valve covers, since I'm not going to use them on this 351, but the old 302.
But at least I got the flywheel and distributor out of the way. Those were going to be the hard or expensive things to find.

I don't think I'll have it done until probably in the spring. For one thing, I can't decide whether to use a flat tappet cam and put flat tappet cam valve springs on, or if I wanna go with a roller. I would have to buy like a 500$ set of link bar roller lifters to use with the roller cam. That would really slow down my progress quite a bit.
Also, I'm debating about getting the UPR tubular K-member/control arm/coilover set up and putting it on while the engine is out. That would also add a lot of time to my timeline for getting this done. I'm just kind of slowly buying parts here and there, a few things with each paycheck. I think I need about another 1k-1500 to have this thing on the road.
Thanks for the motivational words!
